Grant making is the focus of the work we do at the Nathan Ebanks Children Advocacy Group
We seek to recognize and empower the Nathan Ebanks Foundation and other Jamaican charitable organizations that roll out vital initiatives to assist children with disabilities and other special needs through grants that support their efforts.
We do our work with and through the Nathan Ebanks Foundation to support community groups, NGOs, schools and state-run children’s homes. These entities meet our criteria for measurable impact, maintaining an efficient track record and excellence.
We believe in building partnerships with knowledgeable, creative and informed institutions. The Nathan Ebanks Foundation in Jamaica conducts site visits, evaluates progress and submits biannual reports
The Nathan Ebanks Children Advocacy Group provides a straightforward way for donors to support the Nathan Ebanks Foundation and other NGOs, projects and organizations in Jamaica. These funds contribute to increasing the resources available to deserving charitable initiatives that meaningfully impact Jamaica in health, education and economic development. More about the NEF
The Nathan Ebanks Foundation (NEF) was founded by Christine Staple-Ebanks after her son Nathan’s diagnosis with cerebral palsy in 2005. Her vision shaped the foundation’s mission: To improve the lives of children with disabilities and special needs. The NEF is committed to ensuring that children with disabilities and special needs in Jamaica receive access to the necessary resources and rehabilitation, health and educational opportunities to realize their full potential. The NEF is a registered NGO and licensed charitable organization.
The NEF supports anyone whose lives are touched by disability. In particular we focus on children with disabilities or special educational needs. The NEF is committed to shaping the future of these children positively by working collaboratively with families, government, schools, civil society and faith-based organizations in order to offer the gift of perspective. We are also heavily active in social advocacy work.
As a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, the NECAG relies on individual and corporate contributions made by donors who believe in our work and will advocate on our behalf. To ensure their generosity merits the respect and trust of the general public and that donors and prospective donors can enjoy complete confidence in our fiduciary stewardship of their gifts, the Nathan Ebanks Children Advocacy Group Inc. monitors compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, files audited financial statements, and makes material information available to donors upon requests.
